Contemporary painting with flowing structured abstract brushstrokes and heavy texture in shades of brown, beige, sand, cream, gold, and bronze neutral colors.
I created an abstract landscape painting that representing shapes the patterns of fossilized sea shells with colorful geological layers, and amazing stone formations.
I was inspired to create the painting by shelling on Beaches of Captiva Island and Sanibel Island, located on the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida. Many secluded and even not-so-secluded shorelines are covered in shells and different shapes and colors of stones and fossilized corals.
Working with color, line and texture, I painted a singular interpretation of my connection with nature. Original and modern feel and a really nice texture. This piece may be hung horizontal or vertical.
